Classes offered by Art For
Kids School.
Children have an opportunity to explore their creativity
through a variety of materials including pen and ink,
watercolors, acrylics, pastels, clay, and plaster. Drawing
techniques are incorporated, as well as painting and

Reflections Art Program: Wow!
The Reflections
Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural
arts competition. It recognizes students' creative talents,
providing an opportunity for them to express themselves
through original works of art in six categories. The theme
for 2008/2009 is Wow! Questions, contact
Beverly.
Student Council
Council officers include president(s), vice president(s),
secretary(s), treasurer(s), historians, activity
coordinators and service managers/stage crew. Applications
are accepted in the fall from 5th and 6th graders. Contact

School Play
Open
to 4th-6th graders with auditions in January and performances
in March.
Science Fair
This is an opportunity for students to
explore the world around us and share that
information with others. Science projects are displayed
during the day and evening for viewing. Open to all grades.

5th/6th Grade Math Olympiad Club
In the fall and winter, students will
participate in the National Math Olympiad, which is a series
of five highly challenging tests. In the spring, we will
begin preparation for a team contest held on May 21. This club is a fantastic
way for students to be exposed to new math concepts, work
together in groups, and have a lot of fun in the process.
Safety Patrol Program
Open to 4th-6th graders (10 years old and
up). Safety Patrol members arrive at school 15 minutes early
or stay 15 minutes after school to monitor crosswalks, greet
students, help kindergartners, and monitor children as they
arrive on the bus. Applications are available starting in April for
the upcoming year.
