Academic Support

Academics are a high priority for the PTSA and this is reflected by the fact that the majority of the Lakeview PTSA’s budget is spent on academic support and education enrichment programs. These programs include 4th & 5th Grade Math Olympiad, Accelerated Reader (AR), IXL, Reflex Math, Student Leadership, and Zeno Monthly Match Challenges.

After School Enrichment

Lakeview PTSA’s After School Enrichment committee arranges three sessions of after school classes for Fall, Winter and Spring. The classes vary each session and may include Art, Drama, Chess, Math, Sports, Coding, Languages and Engineering! Fall 2017 Session

Art Program and Art Walk

This year, thanks to the Lakeview PTSA, our school is fortunate to have the services of a part time Art Teacher. The PTSA also supports art at Lakeview by providing the Art Enrichment Program. This program includes funds for art supplies, coordination of parent volunteer art docents classroom, lesson plans, and an annual Art Walk so kids can show off their work.

Bike to School Day

Lakeview is celebrating Bike to School Day on Wednesday May 17, 2017. Join a bike train on the Cross Kirkland Corridor. All grades are welcome to participate but remember that K-3 graders must ride with an adult.

Family Fun Nights

In addition to learning, the Lakeview community loves to have fun. Check the Lakeview PTSA calendar to find the dates for these fun events. Lakeview Marathon

The 2018 Marathon kicks off April 23, 2018 and continues till May 24, 2018. We need volunteers to punch lap cards and cheer on the students as they run laps during the lunch recesses. If you have any questions or would like to help, please email lakptsamarathon@gmail.com.

Reflections is a National PTA sponsored arts recognition program that encourages artistic expression.

School Play

The school play is open to 4th & 5th grade students who want to participate in this fun musical. The 2018 Play will be performed on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24. Stay tuned for details about auditions and more.

Science Fair

Calling all young scientists! The Lakeview Science Fair is coming soon.

Ski Bus

The Lakeview Ski Bus is open to 1st – 5th grade students at Lakeview. It is run by Snow Sports Consulting Services (SSCS) and is not a PTSA sponsored activity. It is included on the PTSA website as a convenience to Lakeview families. SSCS donates a portion of their proceeds to the Lakeview PTSA in exchange for help promoting this activity.

Staff Appreciation Week 2017 is May 8-12 at Lakeview. It’s our opportunity to thank the wonderful people who educate & care for our children. We have many fun things planned for the week, sponsored by Lakeview PTSA.

Walk or Bike to School

Your child will receive a Bingo Board and Punch Card from their teacher. If your child walks or bikes to school, they should bring their card every day to the covered basketball court. They can get their card punched all week long, and they’ll have a chance to win prizes!

Yearbook

The Lakeview Elementary School Yearbook is a favorite student keepsake designed and executed entirely by volunteers. Each year volunteer photographers are recruited for each classroom.
